The Eighth Meeting of the Consortium for the Control of Zoonoses

The Eighth Meeting of the Consortium for the Control of Zoonoses was held on October 21 and 23, 2020 via Zoom.  It was attended by 90 people in total; including 30 researchers from the University of Melbourne, University College Dublin and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and 56 researchers from the Research Center for Zoonosis Control and Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University. Presentations were made on current progress and future plan of our international collaborative research and were followed by an active question and answer session.  Also, research updates related to  COVID-19 proceeded by each university were shared and future plans for new research projects were proposed. The consortium meeting provided a meaningful opportunity to confirm our continuous promotion of basic research, applied research and clinical research for the control of zoonoses and to strengthen international collaboration between the four universities.
