The GI-CoRE Symposium entitled “For the Establishment of Global Station for Zoonosis Control” was held at Hokkaido University to discuss and make clear what and how our collaborative projects together with four university units should be started and set the short- and long-term goals. A total of 12 overseas representatives from each of the three Universities, University College Dublin, the University of Melbourne, and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and 12 representatives from Hokkaido University, had discussions over two days. We all agreed that we would establish a consortium for control of zoonoses.
