The Fifth Meeting of the Consortium for the Control of Zoonoses was held on July 6 and 7, 2017 at the Research Center for Zoonosis Control, Hokkaido University. The meeting was attended by 15 researchers from the University of Melbourne, University College Dublin and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and 16 researchers from Hokkaido University. Presentations on the progress of our collaborative on-going research and new research, were followed by active and meaningful discussions regarding the final evaluation of the GI-CoRE. We confirmed that we will further cooperate on development of prophylaxis against infectious diseases based on molecular expression analysis, development and clinical application of diagnostic and therapeutic methods based on gene analysis of pathogens and developing control measures against new infectious diseases based on global analysis of biological information towards the realization of the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
